Part of that, of course, comes with the territory. A dental office should be a place of white, smiling teeth. But we’re not just smiling to show off. We love the work we do, and the positive impact we have the privilege of making in our patients’ lives. After coming into our office, our patients tend to leave with a smile on their face that wasn’t there when they first came in for their cosmetic treatments, and that makes us smile too. That goes double for patients who leave here after [cosmetic dental work](https://www.drlinger.com/cosmetic-dentistry). We offer a wide variety of procedures here at our [Charlotte, NC dental office](https://www.drlinger.com/contact-us) to give your smile a makeover, including porcelain veneers to even out the color and shape of your teeth, the Chao Pinhole Surgical Technique™ to treat receding gums, and a variety of teeth whitening and straightening solutions. Offering the full range of cosmetic dentistry procedures for over 20 years has made us experts in building beautiful smiles. After each cosmetic dentistry procedure, our patients find a newfound confidence and peace of mind thanks to the many benefits of cosmetic dentistry. #### **Cosmetic Treatments to Give You a New Smile to Show Off**  First and foremost, you’ve got a brand-new smile to show off. If you’ve suffered with dental issues previously, or you struggle with them now, you know how much of a burden they can be. No matter where you are or what you’re doing, you’re aware of the issues with your teeth—even if others aren’t. More often than not, you keep your lips pressed tightly together, stifling a laugh or a smile out of fear of exposing your teeth. While it’s often said that the way we feel affects the way we act, the opposite is true as well. Smile less, and you’ll be less happy. Hold back laughter, and the humor drains out of a situation quickly.  Until you’ve felt the effects of cosmetic dentistry for yourself, it’s hard to describe the feeling. Suddenly, you have your smile back, and with it, a big part of your personality. You laugh and smile freely, and in turn, you just feel happier. We love having the opportunity to give that feeling to our patients.  #### **More Pride in Your Dental Hygiene** Another benefit that many people tend to overlook is that once you get cosmetic dental work, you tend to take better care of your teeth. When you’re unhappy with the way your teeth look, the last thing you want to do is look at them! We find that folks tend to shy away from the regular brushing and flossing that leads to [long-term dental health](https://yourdentalhealthresource.com/the-long-term-impacts-of-avoiding-oral-care/) and hygiene. But once your smile returns, you tend to discover a newfound urge to care for and protect it. Brushing and flossing become the norm, and many of our patients even cut down on acidic drinks and coffee. That leads to less cavities, better breath, and a whole lot less anxiety. When you’re not taking care of your teeth, you know it. And once you start up again, you’ll find that the little voice in your head—the one nagging you to brush your teeth before bed—finally quiets down. So let’s review: Cosmetic dentistry here at Dr. Linger’s dental office gets you a better smile, a better outlook, and a better relationship with the voice in your head.
